Documents section overview
Any uploaded files can be stored in the Documents section inside a folder with no icons. To get there from Home, tap the Documents button in the bottom navigation bar.
Here, you'll find three tabs:
- Recent: Contains documents uploaded by you or your accountant in reverse chronological order.
- Folders: Displays folders created by you or your accountant along with files stored inside.
- Trash: Contains deleted files. The file stays there for 30 days until it is deleted permanently.
Documents uploaded by your accountant or tax preparer can also be stored in the Documents section inside the folder with an eye icon. This icon means that you can't make changes to files.
Once you have a new firm-prepared document:
- A new notification appears in the Documents section under the Waiting for action tab when a document requires your attention. The red number on the right shows how many documents are waiting for your action.
- A new document appears under the Recent tab in the Documents section
- A new document appears in the Home section under the Documents tab
Documents folders
To see documents stored inside a folder, tap the folder name under the Folders subtab.
To go to another folder, tap the back arrow icon, then select the folder.
Documents statuses
You can view document statuses under the Waiting for action tab:
- Pending payment: This means there is a document locked to an invoice, and it is awaiting your payment. The document will unlock so you can view and download it once you make the payment.
- Pending E-Signature: You must e-sign the document
- Pending approval: You must approve the document
